What’s new
Everything we’ve added to Satura, newest first. The core stays free, private and offline - always.
More reliable colour-vision tests
v0.7.1- Both colour-vision tests now show their colours on a fixed neutral background, so a dark theme can't tint what you see and skew the result.
- Clearer wording about how sign-in works (a 6-digit email code, no password).
New guides, a What's-new page, and a steadier offline app
v0.7.0- New practical guides: living with red-green colour blindness, protanopia vs deuteranopia, and how reliable online colour-blind tests really are.
- This page - see what's changed in each release, in plain language.
- Behind the scenes: the whole app is even more dependable offline after you install it.
Sync your library across devices, plus an advanced vision test (Pro)
v0.6.0- Pro: turn on cloud sync to keep your saved-colour library in step across every device you sign in on. It's off by default and your library always stays on your device too.
- Pro: a new advanced colour-vision screening that arranges colours to suggest which confusion axis your results lean toward - with optional per-eye testing.
- Your test results are now saved on your device so you can look back at them.
Back up and restore your whole library - free
v0.5.0- Export your entire saved-colour library to a single file, and restore it on another device or a fresh install. Free for everyone, nothing uploaded.
- Restoring merges sensibly with what you already have and tells you exactly what it imported.
Simpler, more reliable sign-in
v0.4.0- Sign in with a 6-digit code emailed to you, instead of a magic link - which now works properly in the installed app on iPhone and iPad.
- Added an optional way to support Satura with a one-off tip (it unlocks nothing - the core stays free).
Pro unlock, and shareable result cards
v0.3.0- Unlock Pro with a single £10 payment - no subscription - for an unlimited library, exports and full palettes.
- Share your colour-vision result or a palette as a tidy image card straight from the app.
A correction filter, everyday tools, and a saved library
v0.2.0- A new filter recolours photos and your live camera so confusable colours separate out - not just simulation, but help.
- Quick tools: match-or-clash, a contrast checker, an eyedropper, palette-from-photo, and a side-by-side 'show a friend what I see'.
- Save colours with your own names and notes, then search, edit and export them - all on your device.
Satura launches
v0.1.0- Identify any colour from your camera, a photo, or a value you type - with the name read aloud if you like.
- Simulate protanopia, deuteranopia and tritanopia, and take a quick private colour-vision screening.
- Free, private, and works offline once installed - no account needed.
