The camera preview stays put when you move the slider
v0.10.1- Simulate and Filter no longer break when you move the severity or strength slider. The live preview would go blank after a moment, most often on Android, and only come back if you left the page and returned.
- If your phone does drop the preview for its own reasons, like putting Satura in the background for a while, it now comes back on its own instead of staying blank.
- Identify's camera preview can no longer freeze on a single frame.
- Switching between Camera, Upload image and Enter value while the camera was still starting could leave Identify showing nothing at all, with no way back short of restarting the app. Fixed.
- Leaving a page while the camera permission prompt is still open no longer leaves your camera switched on.
Clearer colour names, and the right word for what you are seeing
v0.10.0- The simulator now names what it is actually showing you. Below full strength it says deuteranomaly, not deuteranopia, because those are different conditions and the milder one is far more common.
- Everyday colour names read as words again: "Pale Violet Red" instead of "Palevioletred". 93 of the 148 were running together.
- Corrected our guide to protanopia and deuteranopia, which called deuteranopia the most common type of colour blindness. Deuteranomaly is, by a wide margin.
- The screening result now names every red-green condition it could be pointing at, rather than only the two milder ones. Plates cannot tell the four apart, so it says so.
- The advanced result no longer hedges a protan or deutan lean it did not actually give you.
Palette from image now finds the real colours
v0.9.0- Palette from image picks out the colours that are actually in your photo. It could previously return one washed-out average covering most of the picture, repeat the same colour as several swatches, and miss obvious ones entirely.
- The percentage beside each swatch is now the true share of the image that colour covers.
- Satura is on TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest - links are in the site footer.
Plainer colour names, a clearer marker, and a way to reach us
v0.8.0- Identify now names colours with plain everyday words by default ("Green", not "Gainsboro") - switch to richer name sets any time from the Names menu.
- A marker now stays on the exact spot you sampled on a photo or a frozen camera frame, so you can see where a colour came from.
- New Send feedback form in Settings - tell us about a bug or an idea in a couple of taps.
More reliable colour-vision tests
v0.7.1- Both colour-vision tests now show their colours on a fixed neutral background, so a dark theme can't tint what you see and skew the result.
- Clearer wording about how sign-in works (a 6-digit email code, no password).

v0.6.0- Pro: turn on cloud sync to keep your saved-colour library in step across every device you sign in on. It's off by default and your library always stays on your device too.
- Pro: a new advanced colour-vision screening that arranges colours to suggest which confusion axis your results lean toward - with optional per-eye testing.
- Your test results are now saved on your device so you can look back at them.
Back up and restore your whole library - free
v0.5.0- Export your entire saved-colour library to a single file, and restore it on another device or a fresh install. Free for everyone, nothing uploaded.
- Restoring merges sensibly with what you already have and tells you exactly what it imported.
Simpler, more reliable sign-in
v0.4.0- Sign in with a 6-digit code emailed to you, instead of a magic link - which now works properly in the installed app on iPhone and iPad.
- Added an optional way to support Satura with a one-off tip (it unlocks nothing - the core stays free).
